Dentdale Walkers

Where: Throughout Dentdale. Most walks start in Dent itself where there is plenty of parking but please check the programme for details of start times and how to book.

Who: All the walks will be led by someone with local knowledge about Dentdale. You'll gain an insight into life in Dentdale, past and present, and pick up a little local knowledge from our team of enthusiastic guides.

How do I book: All the walks are free but places on most of them are limited to protect the landscape. Please call us on (015396) 25022 to find out more about pushchair or wheelchair access, route length and likely duration plus starting points and times.

There will be a special opportunity to combine your walk with a glimpse of creativity at work, as local artists and artisans throw open their doors to visitors. Dent Heritage Centre will also feature arts and crafts from the open art and craft studios along with its fascinating glimpse of Dentdale life of yesteryear. Dent's cafes and pubs will offer a warm welcome, local ales and wholesome sustenance for hungry walkers along with impromptu musical entertainment over the weekend. Sunday evening will conclude the festival with live entertainment in Dent Memorial Hall.

Working alongside Northern Rail, we are able to provide transport links to and from Dent Station (on the Settle to Carlisle line) and Dent village at key times for the starts and finishes of walks over the festival weekend.
